The NYC auditions are for those who live within travel distance
the New York area and prefer the convenience
of performing a live audition instead of sending in a taped recording.
FEES:

•$75 at the door for unreserved “walk-in” applicants
Note: the NYC audition fee serves as the festival application fee.

REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS
Please be prepared to perform the following:
For individuals: (For the following instruments: all winds, strings, brass and piano) Two contrasting solo pieces that best demonstrate your ability. Unaccompanied performances and movements of works are acceptable.
For pre-existent chamber groups: Two contrasting chamber works pieces that best demonstrate your ensemble’s ability. Movements of works are acceptable. Each person in the ensemble should be prepared to perform a short solo demonstration for their instrument, not to exceed 2 minutes in length. Orchestral excerpts and standard solo works/concerti are preferred.
OTHER INFORMATION:
We strongly suggest that you show up at least 45 minutes prior to your audition time, not only to warm up, but to also be ready to perform should the auditions move ahead of schedule. Directions to the audition room will be provided in the lobby.
In order to audition, application fees must be paid in full, and can be paid online either through the reservation form, the application form, by mail, or in person at the audition site.
